Law360, New York (May 23, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Rival biotechnology companies MedImmune Inc. and Genentech Inc. have reached a deal in the patent suit over MedImmune's blockbuster drug Synagis, signaling the end of a dispute that led to the U.S. Supreme Court's January 2007 decision that a patent licensee could challenge a patent's validity without breaching or terminating the licensing agreement.
