Law360, New York (March 20, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has rejected satellite television provider EchoStar Communications Corp.’s request to dismiss various allegations hurled by TiVo Inc., allowing the duo’s long-standing patent infringement case over digital video recorder technology to proceed.
On Friday, U.S. District Judge David Folsom ruled that TiVo’s expert reports and deposition “sufficiently addressed infringement,” denying EchoStar’s claim that the digital video recorder company lacked enough evidence to prove its case.
