AT&T Fails In Bid To Ground Yeager's Lawsuit

Law360, New York (June 17, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- AT&T Mobility LLC, formerly known as Cingular Wireless, has failed in its bid to dismiss a lawsuit by U.S. Air Force Gen. Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager, alleging that the company violated the famed test pilot's right to publicity when it used his name without permission in a Cingular press release.

Judge Frank Damrell of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California ruled Thursday that AT&T had not shown sufficient grounds why Yeager's suit should be dismissed.
