Adidas Sues Calif. Shoemakers Over Classic Stripes

Law360, New York (October 20, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Adidas AG and its U.S. subsidiary fired off a lawsuit against several California footwear companies on Thursday, accusing them of infringing its “three stripe” trademark.

In the complaint, filed Thursday in the United States District Court of Oregon, Adidas alleges that California Board Sports Inc., 88 Footwear LLC and individual Tony Chen, the director of the two companies, willfully and knowingly infringed its classic three-stripe sneaker trademark.
