Apple's IMac Screens Marred By Line 'Defect': Suit

Law360, New York (January 05, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A proposed class action filed on New Year's Eve accuses Apple Inc. of failing to disclose a “latent” manufacturing defect that can cause unwanted vertical lines to appear on the company's popular iMac computer display screens.

The suit, filed Dec. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, says Apple “remained silent knowing its iMac screen displays would malfunction” while consumers purchased the products.
