Calif. Water Plaintiffs Seek To Resolve MTBE Claims

Law360, New York (January 16, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- California-American Water Co. and several California water districts involved in one part of the multidistrict litigation over methyl tertiary-butyl ether contamination are looking to settle their claims against Exxon Mobil Corp. and a group of remaining defendants.

The plaintiffs lodged a motion Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to grant voluntary dismissal of their case without prejudice against Exxon Mobil, ExxonMobil Oil Corp., Kern Oil & Refining Co., 7-Eleven Inc. and Circle-K Stores Inc.
