Masimo Sues Philips Over Patient Monitor Patents

Law360, New York (February 05, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A company that manufactures patient monitors has slapped Philips Electronics North America Corp. with a suit accusing the technology giant of infringing 10 patents related to devices that measure the level of oxygen in the bloodstream.

In the complaint, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Irvine, Calif.-based Masimo Corp. also accuses Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV health care unit Philips Medizin Systeme Boblingen Gmbh of taking part in the infringement through the importing and sale of the company's IntelliVue line of...
