Acer Settles Class Action Over Windows OS On Laptops
California-based computer manufacturer Acer America Corp. on Monday reached a preliminary settlement in a proposed class action accusing it of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty for intentionally misleading customers about the presence of a genuine Microsoft Windows operating system on its laptops.
