4 Cos. Agree To $14.8M Deal To Clean Up Ill. Superfund Site
Pharmacia LLC, Solutia Inc., ExxonMobil Oil Corp. and Cerro Flow Products will pay $14.8 million to clean up six former waste disposal sites at an Illinois Superfund site, the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Friday.

Monsanto, Pfizer Try To Revive Enviro Feud With Trucking Co.
Monsanto Co. spinoff Solutia Inc. and Pfizer Inc. subsidiary Pharmacia Corp. on Friday asked a federal judge to reopen a resolved environmental damages case involving Rogers Cartage Co. after the trucking company brought new allegations they say are precluded by an approved settlement.

Exxon's Ill. Superfund Claims Allowed To Move Forward
A federal judge will allow Exxon Mobil Corp. and three other companies responsible for the cleanup of a Superfund site in Illinois to bring direct cost recovery claims against another private party, even though they had earlier sought — and lost — contribution claims against that same party.
