Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. has settled a patent infringement suit brought by Shionogi Inc. and Andrx Corp. over Mylan's bid to develop a generic equivalent of Shionogi's blood glucose drug Fortamet, Mylan announced Wednesday.

Mylan Inc. has entered into a licensing agreement that will allow it to sell its generic version of anti-inflammatory Orapred ODT, ending a patent infringement dispute with rivals Shionogi Pharma Inc. and Cima Labs Inc., the company announced Tuesday.
