A federal jury in Missouri on Friday awarded $225,000 to a woman claiming Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.'s bone drug Zometa caused her mother's jaw disease, unanimously finding the drugmaker negligently failed to warn doctors about the drug's dangers.
