Zurich American Insurance Co. was freed from covering Lantheus Medical Imaging Inc.'s purported $70 million in lost business after a nuclear reactor shutdown deprived Lantheus of manufacturing material, with a New York federal judge ruling Tuesday that the claim fell under a corrosion exclusion.

A New York federal judge on Wednesday allowed Lantheus Medical Imaging Co. to take a discovery request to Canadian courts in a dispute over coverage for business interruption losses stemming from the shutdown of a Canadian nuclear reactor that supplied the company with radioactive material.
