A New York federal judge on Wednesday threw out allegations that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey paid female nonsupervisory attorneys less than male counterparts, saying the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission failed to provide enough specifics to back up its unequal pay claims.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has come down on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for allegedly paying female nonsupervisory attorneys less than their male counterparts and weeding out older employees.
