A Solvay SA patent covering methods for making a refrigeration chemical is invalid, a Delaware federal jury ruled Thursday in a victory for Honeywell International Inc., which earlier had been found to have infringed the patent.

In a case where a court earlier ruled that Honeywell International Inc. infringed a Solvay SA patent covering methods for making a refrigeration chemical, a Delaware federal judge on Friday denied Honeywell's motion for summary judgment that the patent is invalid.
