A Colorado federal judge on Tuesday awarded Auraria Student Housing at the Regency LLC nearly $10 million, trebling an award after a jury found that the company's rival conspired to monopolize the market for student housing at the University of Colorado Denver.

A student housing provider has filed a suit alleging rival Campus Village Apartments LLC's arrangement to provide freshman accommodations at the University of Colorado Denver amounts to a monopoly over the city's student housing market.
