24 Hour Fitness Offers $17.5M To Settle OT Cases
About 900 current and former employees of 24 Hour Fitness USA Inc. on Thursday asked a California federal court to give initial approval to a nearly $17.5 million settlement that would resolve a decertified overtime collective action that turned into a protracted fight over where the company could arbitrate individual disputes.

A slew of current and former employees with overtime claims against 24 Hour Fitness USA Inc. asked a judge Thursday to bar the health club chain from pursuing arbitration proceedings outside of the Northern District of California, accusing 24 Hour Fitness of forum shopping.

Classes Decertified In 24 Hour Fitness OT Suit
A federal judge in California on Thursday decertified classes of 24 Hour Fitness USA Inc. trainers and managers who accused the gym chain of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by refusing to pay them overtime.
