Barnes & Noble Inc. and Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. have agreed to end their long-running dispute over patents related to Internet commerce, according to court documents filed Monday.

A New York federal judge on Wednesday granted a small victory to bookseller Barnes & Noble Inc. in its dispute with Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. over e-commerce patents, ruling that Alcatel-Lucent cannot sue the bookseller over one of six patents at issue in the case.
