Camtek Hit With $14M Judgment After Patent Verdict Revived
A Minnesota federal judge on Monday hit Camtek Inc. with a $14.5 million judgment for its infringement of a Rudolph Technologies Inc. patent for semiconductor chip inspection machines, reinstating a 2009 jury verdict that had been vacated by the Federal Circuit.

A Minnesota federal judge on Friday reduced to about $646,000 sanctions leveled against Camtek Inc. for disobeying a court ordered sales ban on a semiconductor chip inspection machine that allegedly infringes a Rudolph Technologies Inc. patent, ruling the original penalty was overly punitive.

A Minnesota federal judge on Monday leveled $1.29 million in sanctions against Camtek Inc. for disobeying a court order prohibiting it from selling its computer chip inspection device, which allegedly infringes patents held by Rudolph Technologies Inc.
