A New York federal judge on Wednesday sentenced former Optionable Inc. CEO Kevin Cassidy to 2 1/2 years in prison for conspiring with a Bank of Montreal trader to overstate the value of the bank's natural gas options book.

Feds Fight Ex-Optionable CEO's Bid To Trim Charges
Federal prosecutors on Sunday fought a bid by former Optionable CEO Kevin Cassidy to toss parts of the indictment that alleges he was involved in a scheme to artificially inflate Bank of Montreal's natural gas options portfolio.
