Mahalo Directors Get Claims Pared In Debt-Shifting Suit
An Oklahoma federal judge on Tuesday partially dismissed a suit against officers and directors of Mahalo Energy Ltd., saying the company's creditors could not hold them liable for misleading investors about massive debt that eventually led to its American subsidiary's collapse.

10th Circ. Won't Let Mahalo Directors Skirt Debt-Shifting Suit
The Tenth Circuit ruled Wednesday that Mahalo Energy Ltd.'s Canadian officers and directors must face claims that they schemed to line their pockets by saddling an Oklahoma-based subsidiary with debt, saying the officials had enough ties to the now-bankrupt subsidiary to justify Oklahoma jurisdiction.
