Legal blog Lawyerist Media LLC and online publisher PeerViews Inc. agreed Tuesday to end Lawyerist's suit seeking to cancel PeerViews' trademark registrations of the terms "BigLaw" and "SmallLaw," allowing Lawyerist to make its case to federal trademark officials instead.

The terms "BigLaw" and "SmallLaw" are not generic, trademark holder PeerViews Inc. argued Thursday in Minnesota federal court, firing back at legal blog Lawyerist Media LLC's suit seeking to have the online publisher's registrations canceled.
