Netflix Inc. has escaped a putative class action accusing it of violating privacy law by allowing any user of a Netflix-capable streaming video receiver to see a subscriber’s video lists, with a California federal judge ruling Friday that the company isn’t responsible for who sees the lists after users link their accounts to the devices.
