PG&E, Contractors Pay $30M To Douse Forest Fire Suits
Pacific Gas & Electric Co. and two of its contractors have agreed to pay the U.S. government a total of $29.5 million to settle allegations that its negligence in tree trimming caused two 2004 forest fires on California federal land, U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner announced Thursday.
