Fed. Circ. Says Gore Must Pay $1B In Patent Saga
The Federal Circuit on Tuesday affirmed a lower court's ruling that W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. willfully infringed C.R. Bard Inc.'s blood vessel graft patent, adding $205 million to the $854 million in damages Gore has already been ordered to pay Bard in the long-running case.

W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. may be liable for more than $1 billion in damages after a judge ruled Thursday that it had willfully infringed a blood vessel graft patent owned by C.R. Bard Inc. in a long-running case in which the Federal Circuit last year set a new standard for proving willfulness.
