The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority agreed to pay $13.1 million to settle a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action accusing the transit agency of failing to pay drivers for preshift work, according to documents filed Tuesday in Pennsylvania federal court.

A Pennsylvania federal judge Friday tossed a Fair Labor Standards Act class action claim against the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, ruling that the employees' claims over payment for pre-shift work are subject to arbitration under the collective bargaining agreements between the parties.
