Honeywell International Inc. has reached a settlement with Queens West Development Corp. and others over a Long Island City, N.Y., site that allegedly cost $20 million to clean up, according to a New Jersey federal judge who dismissed the case Wednesday.

A New Jersey federal judge on Tuesday allowed property developers to add a new plaintiff and additional claims in a $20 million environmental cleanup suit against Honeywell International Inc., finding that the allegations are timely and relate back to the original complaint.

A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday dismissed some of the claims in a $20 million environmental remediation suit against Honeywell International Inc., ruling the plaintiffs could not make both cost recovery and contribution claims under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act.
