Twitter Feed Feud Shows Employers Need Social Media Policies

A trade secrets suit accusing a former PhoneDog LLC employee of continuing to use a company Twitter account after leaving his job has ended with a settlement, but attorneys said Tuesday the case is still a cautionary tale for employers that fail to have written policies in place over social media account ownership.
