Judge Ends $2B Benefits Action Against Halliburton, Insurers
A Washington, D.C., federal judge on Friday tossed a $2 billion proposed class action accusing government contractors and insurance carriers, including Halliburton Corp. and Continental Casualty Co., of withholding health benefits from badly wounded workers, calling the lawsuit an end-run around required administrative review.
