Saying his counterpart in the Northern District of California agreed it would eliminate duplicate work, the chief judge of the Eastern District of Texas said Thursday he would hold off transferring patent suits against Google Inc. and others to the other state until after he construed the patent claims.

Software developer PersonalWeb Technologies LLC launched suits against Google Inc., Amazon Inc. and several other technology companies on Thursday, accusing them of infringing its patented technology for cloud computing, distributed search engine file systems and content-addressable storage.
