American Economy Insurance Co. does not have to cover a Pennsylvania T-shirt maker who lost a suit alleging his "Terrible T-shirt" infringed the famous Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towel trademark, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Insurer Wants A Pass In Steelers T-Shirt Patent Row
American Economy Insurance Co. asked a Pennsylvania federal judge Thursday to declare that it does not owe coverage to Eugene Berry Enterprises LLC, which lost a trademark suit to the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers and a Pennsylvania nonprofit over Berry's Steelers-fan-oriented "Terrible T-shirt."
