Juniper, Palo Alto Settle Patent Dispute After Mistrial
Network protection rivals Juniper Networks Inc. and Palo Alto Networks Inc. reached a $175 million deal to end litigation over whether Palo Alto was infringing on Juniper's firewall technology patents after a mistrial in March in which the jury could not reach a verdict, according to papers filed in Delaware federal court on Wednesday.

Palo Alto Networks Can't Challenge Rival's Firewall Patents
Cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks Inc. can't challenge the validity of seven Juniper Networks Inc. firewall technology patents during a trial later this month because Palo Alto's founders came up with the inventions the patents cover, a Delaware federal judge ruled Thursday.
