A New York federal judge on Friday dismissed Louis Vuitton Malletier SA's trademark infringement suit against Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. over the studio's use of a knockoff bag in "The Hangover Part II," saying public confusion over the accessory's origin was implausible.

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. on Wednesday asked a New York federal court to dismiss Louis Vuitton Malletier SA's suit accusing the producer of infringing its trademarks by featuring a fake Louis Vuitton bag in the "Hangover" sequel, saying the use is protected by the First Amendment.
