A New Jersey federal judge has granted final approval to a $3.6 million settlement between Siemens Hearing Instruments Inc. and former HearUSA stockholders who filed a putative class action accusing Siemens of artificially deflating HearUSA's stock price, forcing its bankruptcy to acquire it more cheaply.

Siemens Settles Class Action Over HearUSA Stock Price
Siemens Hearing Instruments Inc. on Thursday settled a putative class action filed by former HearUSA stockholders who accused Siemens of artificially deflating HearUSA's stock price to acquire the bankrupt company on the cheap, according to an order filed in New Jersey federal court.
