A New York federal judge ruled Monday that Acument Global Technologies Inc. must face counterclaims over a $56 million investment in what turned out to be a $554 million Ponzi scheme, saying Acument was a fiduciary to its pension plan entity.

Westridge Client Sues Adviser Over $56M Ponzi Investment
Acument Global Technologies Inc. sued its investment adviser on Friday for recommending that the company's pension fund invest $56 million in Westridge Capital Management Inc., whose managers have been charged in a $670 million Ponzi scheme.
