A California federal judge on Friday approved Asus Computer International Inc.'s $2.2 million settlement with a class of consumers who alleged the company sold certain tablet computers with a defect that caused the built-in global positioning system technology to malfunction.

Asus Hit With Class Action Over Tablet's Alleged Defect
AsusTek Computer Inc. was targeted Thursday in a putative consumer class action in California alleging the company's Transformer Prime tablet device has a defective design that prevents it from performing GPS and wireless capabilities as advertised.
