3rd Circ. Says Transferred Workers Not Always Owed Benefits
The Third Circuit ruled Wednesday that workers weren't allowed to collect benefits from successor employers if they wouldn't have been eligible for them under the predecessor employer, reversing a lower court's ruling that awarded former Siemens Corp. employees extended benefits.
