9th Circ. Won't Review Class Cert. In WaMu Appraisal Suit
The Ninth Circuit on Thursday let stand a lower court decision granting class certification in a lawsuit claiming Washington Mutual Bank and title insurer First American Corp. conspired to raise appraisal values so WaMu could sell securitized mortgages at artifically high prices.
