Finisar Execs Dodge Shareholder Suit Over Fraud Accusations
A federal judge has dismissed a shareholder derivative suit alleging Finisar Corp. executives inflated the company's stock price, rejecting claims it would have been futile to ask the board of directors to investigate the allegations, which the law requires before filing suit unless personal liability evidently prevented the directors from being objective.
