Prudential Escapes Suit Over 'Worthless' Wartime Policies
A New Jersey federal judge on Tuesday dismissed claims by a proposed class of former defense contractor workers who said their employers and Prudential Insurance Co. of America sold them policies that were worthless because of a wartime exclusion, saying the claims are preempted by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
