CORRECTED: Alcoa, Chevron, Exxon Settle $56M Texas Superfund Suit
More than three dozen companies, including Alcoa Inc., Chevron USA Inc. and Exxon Mobil Corp., agreed Friday to conduct a $56.4 million cleanup of a Superfund site in Texas as part of a settlement with the federal government over the contamination caused by the disposal of hazardous materials by the site operator.
