Covington Rips 3M's Bid To DQ Firm From Minn. Enviro Suit
Covington & Burling LLP sought Thursday to dismiss 3M Co.'s suit accusing the firm of "switching sides" to represent the state of Minnesota in an environmental dispute over 3M's fluorochemical business, saying the suit fails to establish diversity of citizenship.

3M Co. launched a lawsuit Tuesday against its law firm of more than a decade, Covington & Burling LLP, claiming it breached its fiduciary duty when it began representing the state of Minnesota in an environmental suit against the technology company over its fluorochemical business.
