Starbucks Baristas Denied Cert. In Closing-Time Pay Dispute
A California federal judge on Tuesday refused to certify a class of approximately 1,800 California baristas alleging Starbucks required them to work off-the-clock while closing stores, finding the workers' experiences were too varied for the allegations to be resolved on a classwide basis.
