    Insurer Needn't Cover $5M HIPAA Probe Costs, 9th Circ. Told

    Allied World on Thursday urged the Ninth Circuit to uphold a California federal court's ruling freeing it from covering $5 million in costs that Millennium Laboratories racked up defending against a federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act investigation, saying coverage is barred because the probe is related to lawsuits predating the policy.
