Military Counselors Win Class Cert. In Wage Dispute
A California federal judge on Thursday conditionally certified a class of about 5,000 counselors working at U.S. military bases who claim military contractor Managed Health Network Inc. misclassified them in order to avoid paying overtime wages, ruling the plaintiffs were in a substantially similar position when the alleged harm occurred.

Military Contractor Can't Arbitrate Counselors' OT Suit
A California federal judge ruled Wednesday that Managed Health Network Inc. and its subsidiary couldn't compel arbitration of a putative class action alleging it misclassified licensed counselors working at U.S. military bases in order to avoid paying overtime wages, finding the counselors' arbitration provisions were unconscionable.
