    CORRECTED: Patent Theft Trial Over McDermott Docs Settles

    Medical-testing firm Theranos Inc. cut short its jury trial accusing Fuisz Pharma LLC of stealing Theranos' patent files from McDermott Will & Emery LLP and using them to file a rival blood-testing patent, telling a California federal judge on Monday that the parties had reached a midtrial settlement. (Correction: An earlier story incorrectly stated that John Fuisz's alleged statements about Holmes were made while he was working as a patent attorney for his father. The error has been corrected.)
