An arbitrator has ordered Hasbro Inc. to pony up $72.9 million in royalties in connection with its license agreement with product development firm Johnson Research & Development Co., the licensor of its Nerf line of toy guns, Hasbro announced Thursday.
Product development firm Johnson Research & Development Co. Inc. sued Hasbro Inc. in Georgia federal court Monday, accusing the toy company of stiffing it on royalties for the famous Super Soaker water gun under a license agreement giving Hasbro the right to manufacture the toy.
