NCAA's Federal Fight Over $60M Penn State Fine Shut Down
A Pennsylvania judge on Tuesday ruled the National Collegiate Athletic Association's federal breach of contract suit over a commonwealth law that kept in-state the $60 million fine levied on Pennsylvania State University after the Jerry Sandusky scandal was precluded, finding that federal courts couldn't "sit as appellate bodies" over commonwealth courts.
