Federal Rule Shortening Snapper Season Overturned
A Texas federal judge overturned Friday a federal emergency rule that sought to shorten the red snapper fishing season in federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico, saying the U.S. Department of Commerce created it to punish states whose season extended beyond the government's.
