A New Jersey pain medicine manufacturer that was temporarily shut down after authorities discovered mold in its injectable drug products agreed Thursday to cease operations until it fulfills a raft of compliance obligations mandated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday slapped drug compounding facility Med Prep Consulting Inc. and its senior executive with a lawsuit in New Jersey federal court for circulating intravenous medicines infected with mold and for failing to secure proper approval for some of its medications.
