49ers Shooting Suit Sacked Over Team Citizenship
A California federal judge dismissed allegations that the San Francisco 49ers football team was negligently responsible for a shooting in its stadium parking lot, saying Wednesday that the court did not have jurisdiction because both the victim and some of the team's owners are California residents.

A man who was shot four times while trying to break up a fight outside a San Francisco 49ers game in 2011 hit the team and its co-owner John York with a lawsuit Tuesday alleging they knew the stadium environment was dangerous but failed to warn fans.
